How to measure the intensity of passion?

Passion itself is a self-explanatory word. Passion stands for the zeal, for the determination that a person has towards a particular thing which aspires him to accomplish that. Having said that, a person may feel that he is passionate about something but doesn't want to work towards that. That my friend, isn't really your passion. That is just your liking towards as certain thing.

In my life, I have seen "n" number of people defining their degree of passion. Someone says they have a passion for singing but are bathroom singers. Someone says they have a passion for essay writing that they left their IT job to pursue that as a full-time profession. According to them, different people tend to have different intensities of passion. But on a personal note, if the thing you claim you are passionate about doesn't make you go crazy so as to achieve that, then that my friend is not really your passion. Because passion itself defines humongous intensity. It stands for extreme sense of determination and perseverance. If a person is passionate about something, he will leave no stone unturned to achieve that goal. He will comprise with his sleep, play and almost everything that keeps him away from his passion, but will make sure that he accomplishes that.

A passionate person carries a sense of pride within himself. Look into the eyes of a soldier who just fought with the enemy and have had a Victorious journey. Observe his posture. Even after getting brutally injured, that man has the strength of standing tall. This is what passion is. This is what passion drives into a person. No fear, just immense courage and excessive determination. Ideally, this is what passion stands for. Someone once said, " Dream isn't something that you see while you sleep, rather it is something that doesn't let you sleep". This dream of achieving something or accomplishing a certain gaol is what passion drives. The passion is driving force behind each and every dream of yours.

Passion has different phases in a person's life. You start with a budding idea, which inculcates into an initial want, and ultimately a dream. Passion allows you to take this dream forward. If a person isn't passionate enough to take this dream forward, he would give up on the initial phase only. And this is how a dream remains just a dream. Something that you saw while you sleep and forgot when you have gotten up. The idea is to do justice with your passion. When you dedicate something as your passion, stand by that word and give it the respect that it deserves. Remember there are people in this world who cross mountains and valleys just for this passion. They live so as to accomplish something that they desire. You one deed disrespects this one word -passion. Never do that. Stand by your dreams and success shall be yours.
